Voopoo Drag S

Let’s all just take a minute to admire the work that went into making this beauty before diving into the nitty-gritty nuts and bolts of the DRAG S. Displaying a build of aluminum alloy & leather, the vape has a pleasant grip & rarely feels bulky or harsh in the pocket.

Airflow is controlled smoothly just above, while at the bottom is a Type-C USB connector for charging devices. This port is significantly quicker than the more common Micro USB port & has a far more durable charging port.

3 metal buttons are scattered throughout the surface, the largest fire button being the most noticeable and having a little thumb slot for comfort.

The Geekvape M100 Aegis Mini 2 comes to mind when I see the Voopoo DRAG S for some reason; maybe it’s just the leather grip, however, the entire structure yells “durability” from every perspective.

This theory is supported by Voopoo’s decision to forego conventional glass tanks in favor of the acrylic PnP Pod, which we’ll examine in more detail later.

The DRAG S has a staggering 2600mAh battery; bear in mind that anything greater than 1000mAh is quite uncommon for a vape of this size, much alone a POD VAPE.

The watt range of the device is 5 to 60W, but it outperforms popular models in the market like the Innokin Coolfire 4 as well as the SMOK RPM40 in terms of raw strength & optimization.

The DRAG S charges quickly owing to the Type-C charger, and the LCD shows how advanced the battery charger is. If you typically keep the system in the 40-60W region, it’s recommended that you give it a charge each evening, but if you are caught off guard there’s no need to panic.

Performance

It’s a wonderfully flavorful vape with the ability to produce big clouds, in large part because of the enormous airflow & cleverly created mesh coils.

You won’t need to wait longer between large puffs since they rewick very soon. The button fire operates in 0.001 seconds, resulting in a flavorful plume explosion that occurs extremely quickly.

Pod & Coil

Let’s spend time in the previously stated PnP Pods. The pod is held securely in place by a magnet ring & is largely made of a strong acrylic that offers complete clarity, enables you to see your e-liquid levels at quite a glance, & prevents the pod from becoming too hot.

The elastic hatch just on the base makes it easy to refill, but it seems that they learned how to change the coils simply by pulling & pushing, as they did well with SMOK Nord.

The coils ultimately come in a variety of resistances between 0.15 to 1 ohm & are professionally built with mesh inside to reduce the chance of dry hits & burnouts.

If you’re still not ready to join the pod bandwagon, Voopoo plans to produce a 510-thread converter soon, allowing you to connect a variety of tanks to the DRAG S’s large, portable battery.
